background / biography
I wrote my first song shortly after I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. Looking back, the song was pretty aweful - with the standard, "Yeahs" in them. At 13, I started taking guitar lessons - my first teacher was Sam Andrews from Janis Joplin's Big Brother & the Holding Co. I continued to write songs and slowly but surely they began to mature. I was also heavily influenced by 70s progressive rock, and started combining some of the musical structures from that genre with soothing and natural melodies in the style of 60s rock. That's how I developed my own style of songwriting. I hope you like my music.
