When is less more? When 2 guys can get together and sound like a 7 piece band!
2Play features Rob "the Doctor" Santangelo (The Doctors & Brass Trax) on lead Vocal and Guitar, and Vin "Flash" Miele from CYBERMIDI.com on Keyboards, Guitars and Music Programming.
Combining CYBERMIDI sequences with live music is just one part of the concept. The other part is simply playing great music from 1965 - 1975, occasionally blending in some early 80's rock and an occasional modern track.
Rob's talent shine above his rockin' vocal style. He knows how to get the crowd going when he performs songs such as "American Pie". Vin's performance and programming talents faithfully reproduce the orginal songs as evidenced in the 9 1/2 minute epic "Freebird" or "Layla".
In 2005, 2Play released "Staten Island" under the name "The Ferrymen". The song was intended to be used as a theme song for the Staten Island Yankees (minor league baseball team of the NY Yankees). Instead, the song received plenty of airplay as an answer to a negative song about Staten Island that was played locally. You can pick up the CD right here.
2Play is currently available for clubs, restaurants and private parties in the NY Tri-State area. We take up much less space than a 4-7 piece band, and most people prefer LIVE entertainment over DJ's, especially when priced competitively.
